Tula Skincare

Are you looking for an all-natural skincare line derived from probiotics and superfoods? One that was designed by a board-certified gastroenterologist? Then look no further than Tula Skincare. Founded by Dr. Roshini Raj, a Harvard and New York University graduate with a full-time practice in Manhattan, in addition to being a regular contributor on the Today Show and CNN. As if she wasn’t busy enough, she began researching probiotics and the positive effect they have on our bodies and ultimately our skin.

“Tula” means “balance” in Sanskrit. We are all in search of balance in our lives; work, family, and community can pull us in a million directions, potentially wreaking havoc on our health, which ultimately shows up on our face. Tula Skincare works on the principles of clean and effective beauty derived from probiotics, which Dr. Raj discovered had life-changing benefits on her patients and their skin.

There is a strong connection between the gut and the skin; foods such as caffeine, dairy, and sugar often disrupt the balance of our skin, causing dryness and breakouts. So it seems perfectly logical to me that if you add certain superfoods and probiotics to your skincare, the results could potentially be transformative. Tula is based on the principles of clean and effective beauty; the best way of balancing your skin is by using clean, nontoxic, and powerful ingredients. Dr. Raj’s philosophy of feeling healthy, not perfect, resonates with me. Feeling confident in the skin you’re in, is a message I can relate to, and one that I share with my daughter, as well.

I am so impressed with this skincare, that I want to share it with you. I could actually feel the products working on my skin. Here are my favorite Tula products, ones that I have incorporated into my daily routine. Super Calm Gentle Milk Cleanser

I love to start out my morning routine with this gentle cleanser, which removes all the sweat and grime on my face after I complete my morning workout. Made with cucumber, colloidal oatmeal, and aloe, it calms my skin which is flushed after my cardio exercise and does not leave any residue or tightness like other cleansers sometimes do.

Get Toned Pro Glycolic Resurfacing Toner

A face toner with glycolic acid is what I call genius. It doesn’t feel harsh or makes my skin tingle, but it does leave a smoother surface onto which I apply my serums. This is a fantastic product!

Face Filter Primer

This product does what it says it will, blurs lines by somehow magically filling them in. And who wouldn’t want put licorice, chia seeds, and turmeric onto their skin? Talk about a power play!

Protect and Glow Sunscreen

Everyone should be using a facial sunscreen daily, regardless of whether or not they are in the sun. I love this one because it also provides protection from the harmful blue rays emitted from our phones and computers. Made with papaya and pineapple, it smells great. Using it along with my tinted moisturizer with SPF, it boosts my daily protection.

Rose Glow and Get It Cooling and Brightening Eye Balm

This is my absolute favorite product, since I have never encountered an actual eye balm, that leaves you glowing and feeling refreshed. I apply this a few times a day and the instant effect is incredible! I cannot recommend it enough!
