Derek Lam’s Nod to the 1970s

American Designer Derek Lam knocks it out of the park with this knit twin set complete with 70’s style fringes as a modern twist on a classic silhouette. The former head of Tod’s ready-to-wear, who began his career as an assistant to Michael Kors in the 90’s, Derek Lam is an award-winning celebrated designer. In 2011, he created  Derek Lam 10 Crosby, a fashion line with accessible appeal for every aspect of life, from everyday to special occasions.

I am head over heels in love with this twin set for its quality design and versatility.

I scored this bag by using my Bloomingdales “Loyallist” points. I do that often…it’s the best way to get these fabulous designer bags. I purchase pretty much everything at Bloomies from the kitchen and home necessities to gifts and men’s clothing. Those points add up quickly! I discuss this topic in depth HERE and HERE

The polo top can be worn easily on its own with a pair of jeans, and this fabulous skirt can be worn to the office topped with a crisp white blouse. The possibilities are endless and we have Derek Lam to thank for that!

  • Hi Lesley,
Your new album, “On The Places You’ll Go” sounds fascinating to me. You are one talented
lady. I can only imagine how many hours you have invested into creating your new album. I look forward to hearing it.
It’s heart wrenching to even think of what happened to Mahsa Amini because of refusing to wear a hijab while in public. Glad you showed your support on Instagram.
Thinking of you on Rosh Hashanah. It will be nice to go back to Sinai Temple. Enjoy your evening of community.
    Smiles,
    Katherine
