Basil Pesto Hummus

This pesto version of classic hummus is next level! It is so easy to make, you will be doing on repeat! Alternately you can use as a pasta sauce or spread it on bread and make a veggie sandwich. Whatever your choice, I know that you will agree that this one’s a winner!

Ingredients:

  • 1 14 oz can of chickpeas
  • ⅓ cup of pine nuts
  • 1½ cup basil
  • juice of 1.5 lemons
  • 1 clove of garlic minced
  • 2 tbsp tahini
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2-3 tbsp cold water
  • ¼ cup of nutritional yeast
  • ½ tsp of salt
  • 2 ice cubes

Directions:

  • Gather your ingredients and a high speed blender or food processor.
  • Add all of the ingredients into your blender and blend until completely smooth.
  • Add more salt as needed to taste.
