Muted Tones

Muted Tones

I have always been drawn to grey and black muted tones. An acting teacher once told me that black is a wonderful color to wear because it causes you to be the focal point, not the color that you are wearing. As a fashionista, I cannot whole heartedly agree with that statement. I have always considered fashion as art, and so to always wear black seems a bit boring and solemn to me.

Due to its short length, I only wear this skirt with dark tights and boots. This sweater is by the Swedish fashion designer Tiger. The bell sleeve continues to trend, and I think this one is so pretty. I feel an outfit such as this would be too loud and “show-y” in a bright color and is much more suited to muted shades of black and grey.
