5 Ingredient Gluten & Dairy Free Brownies

Fudgy, flourless, and made right in the pan.

These brownies come together with just five simple ingredients and no mixing bowl. Everything is combined directly in the pan, making this an easy, minimal-cleanup dessert that still delivers a rich, chocolatey center.

INGREDIENTS

  • 2 ripe bananas
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 cup peanut butter (or almond butter)
  • 3 tablespoons honey
  • ¼ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
    1. Use an 8×8-inch pan or smaller (a slightly smaller pan will yield a thicker brownie).
    2. Add the bananas directly to the pan and mash until smooth.
    3. Add the egg and whisk into the bananas until fully combined.
    4. Stir in the peanut butter, honey, and cocoa powder. Mix everything directly in the pan until smooth and evenly incorporated.
    5. Spread the batter evenly in the pan.
    6. Bake for about 15 minutes

Doneness Test

Insert a toothpick into the center. You’re looking for moist crumbs, not wet batter. Do not overbake — the brownies will continue to set as they cool.

Allow to cool before slicing for the best fudgy texture.
