There is something timeless about a t-shirt dress, and James Perse does this style like no one else in the fashion biz. He knows how to add the perfect amount of stretch and ruching so that it flatters every figure. I have seen it on many women, in all shapes and sizes, and it just somehow works on everyone. I do not and have never had a completely flat stomach. Try as I might, it just isn’t meant to be. But the ruching effect of a dress such as this tames the tummy and holds everything in place. I have owned this dress for several years as it has become a travel companion. It packs well and never creases. I can dress it up or keep it simple. I always lean towards gold accessories when I wear cream. All of my accessories here are a combo of high and low. The Hermes cuff is obviously on the high end, but the fabulous earrings by Madewell, are quite low. The gold beaded bracelets by Robin Terman are also low priced as is the choker and gold plated chain. I did not opt for a longer necklace since the proportions of my bust and waistline did not suit anything longer than the one I am wearing, which was a gift from my mother. She bought all 4 of her daughters these heart necklaces and I wear mine constantly. Meaningful jewelry is always your best accessory.
